This is a sick and depraved world we live in.
Adrenochrome, is about extracting what they seem to call 'mana', a satanic form of energy in the form of demonic possession, which fuels their day to day activities. This is done mainly via child abuse, ritual torture/sacrifice and 'spirit cooking' which seems to involve torturing the spirits of the children they murdered.
Adrenochrome is just a very expensive drug extracted from tortured/dying children, it is the rarity of obtaining it and its decadent satanic origin that makes it so precious to them.
